The brief:
The owner of Y.A.P. Bridal, Danni Hesketh, contacted our Managing Director, Andy, requesting help increasing their organic search traffic back in 2016. The website wasn’t ranking first in Google for any of their desired keywords and in a very competitive market, they needed to invest in SEO to succeed. We were up to the challenge. ? And super excited to work with such a precious company!
Our SEO work:
Podium’s SEO genies worked their magic by optimising the website for a long list of targeted keyword phrases that receive high traffic. Although the owners of the boutique like to refer to ‘wedding gowns,’ our keyword research proved that the site should be optimised for ‘wedding dresses’ due to the higher number of searches for those keywords.

The results:
We have achieved eight number one rankings in Google search for high traffic keywords including “Wedding Dresses Newcastle” and “Wedding Dress Newcastle upon Tyne.” The website is also ranking on page one of Google for EVERY SINGLE search term they hoped to rank for – all 36 keyword phrases. In fact, their lowest ranking is only the fifth result in a Google search. We’re pretty darn confident that anyone searching for a wedding dress in or around the Newcastle area is destined to come across Y.A.P. Bridal! We’ve ensured the website’s user experience is smooth and created strong calls-to-action throughout the site to encourage website visitors to reach out to the bridal boutique after finding them through organic search. We constantly monitor their conversion rate and are proud to say that the company’s enquiries are up by 24 per cent! ? Y.A.P continues to work with Podium to maintain their organic search rankings.
